Real Estate Office: Sign, Logo and How Buyers Find You

Running a real estate office in Egypt: what to put on your sign, card and logo, how to show up when buyers search for a real estate office near me, and more.

· 9 min read · Hala Mostafa

Buyers find a real estate office in two ways: a sign they see on the street where they live or are house-hunting, or a search on Google or Google Maps such as "real estate office near me". The office that wins its neighbourhood shows the same name, number and identity in both places, then sends the buyer to a page that actually lists its units. This guide covers what goes on your sign and card, how to build a logo that reads, and how to show up in local search.

The short version: start with entry in Egypt's real-estate brokers register, which is required to practise. Then make your identity consistent: one name, a simple logo that reads from a distance, one phone and WhatsApp number. On the sign: name, activity and number, nothing more. On Google: a verified Business Profile with the same name, address and number, plus photos, opening hours and reviews. Finally, a link or QR code that leads to a website with your units.

Real estate office or real estate agency?

People use the words interchangeably, but the practical difference is clear:

Item Real estate office Real estate marketing agency
Scope One district or city Several areas or developers' projects
Main inventory Resale and rentals from local owners New projects and units from developers
Lead sources Walk-ins, referrals and local search Paid campaigns and landing pages
Most important marketing asset The sign and the Google Business Profile The website and campaigns

Either way, the GOEIC service page states that registration in the real-estate brokers register is required of anyone doing real-estate brokerage, marketing or intermediation in Egypt. We cover the steps in our real estate marketing licence guide.

Your office sign: what to include and what to leave off

A sign is read in two seconds, from a car or the opposite pavement. Every extra word blurs what matters. This is enough:

  1. Office name and logo, large enough to read from a distance.
  2. The activity in two words: "Real Estate" or "Sales and Rentals".
  3. One number for phone and WhatsApp, in large type.
  4. Optional: your web address, if it is short.

Leave off long service lists, multiple numbers and generic claims such as "No. 1 in the area" that nobody believes. Before installing, ask your local district office about sign permits.

Signs on the property itself: a "For sale" or "To let" board on the building or unit needs your name and number, plus a QR code that opens the unit's page with photos and price. Passers-by see the details before they call, so the calls you get are more serious.

A real estate logo that works at every size

Your logo will appear in more small places than you expect: a WhatsApp profile photo, the corner of a unit photo, a stamp on a contract, a sign seen from down the street. So:

  • Keep the shape simple enough to draw in one line. The usual house and key icons are fine if simplified, but they will not set you apart; your name does that.
  • Two colours at most, plus a one-colour version for stamps and cheap printing.
  • Arabic and English names that sound the same, because clients will search both ways.
  • A simple test: shrink the logo to WhatsApp-avatar size. If you cannot read the name, it is too complex.

Ready-made real estate logo templates are everywhere, but a popular template means dozens of offices use it. Use them for inspiration only.

A real estate business card people keep

A card is handed over at a viewing or in the office, and usually looked at again days later, when the buyer decides to call. Put on it:

  • Your name and title, the office name and logo.
  • One number for phone and WhatsApp.
  • A QR code that opens your website or units page, not a generic Facebook page.
  • The address, if clients will visit.

How do you show up for "real estate office near me"?

"Real estate office near me" is typed into Google or Google Maps. According to Google's Business Profile help page, local results are based mainly on three things: relevance to what the person searched for, distance from where they are searching, and prominence, meaning how well known the business is, including links and reviews.

You cannot change distance, but you can work on relevance and prominence:

  1. Create and verify a Google Business Profile under the office's real name, not a keyword-stuffed one.
  2. Pick the right category and complete every field: address, phone, hours and website.
  3. Add real photos: the shopfront and sign from the street, the inside of the office and the team.
  4. Ask for reviews from clients you have closed with, and reply to every review.
  5. Keep the name, address and number identical on Google, Facebook, your website, your sign and your card.
  6. Link the profile to a website that lists your units; the site supports prominence and is where the buyer finds the details.

Offices in Alexandria, Cairo and 6th of October: what changes?

People type their neighbourhood into the search: Smouha, Agami, Moharram Bey and the Alexandria–Matrouh road in Alexandria; Shubra, Sheikh Zayed and 6th of October around Cairo; 10th of Ramadan further out.

What changes from one district to the next is the inventory people want, not how you appear. So:

  • Put the district name in the title of every listing and unit page, because that is how buyers search.
  • Make the office address on your Business Profile precise, so you appear for searches near you.
  • Do not create identical pages for each district with only the name swapped. A district page earns its place when it carries real units and information specific to that area.

Where you file your brokers-register application also depends on the governorate: the GOEIC service page lists branches such as Maarouf, 6th of October and Alexandria, and chambers of commerce such as Alexandria and Tanta.

From sign to sale: do not lose the buyer after the call

The sign and the profile bring the call. What happens next decides the deal. Most office inquiries arrive on WhatsApp, and that is where they get lost if nobody records them. We cover this in WhatsApp real estate leads, and how to present a unit so it earns a viewing in a property listing that converts.

Office asset What it does Common mistake
Sign Tells passers-by you exist Too much text and several numbers
Google Business Profile Puts you in front of people searching nearby Keyword-stuffed name, no photos
Business card Keeps you in mind after a viewing No link to your units
Website Lets buyers see units before calling A Facebook page only
Follow-up system Makes sure no inquiry is lost Relying on an employee's memory

Where Buildoura fits

According to the Buildoura website in October 2026, an office gets a website with its logo and colours, on a subdomain in its name or on its own domain, in Arabic and English, with unit pages showing photos and prices, a WhatsApp button, and forms that capture the buyer's budget and preferred area. Inquiries go into a CRM that routes them to the office team. The free-forever plan covers up to 5 clients, 5 projects and 10 units; Pro is EGP 500 a month. FAQ

What should go on a real estate office sign?

The office name and logo, the activity in two words, one phone and WhatsApp number in large type, and a short web address if you have one. Anything more reduces legibility. Check sign-permit rules with your local district office before installing.

How does my office appear for "real estate office near me"?

Create and verify a Google Business Profile, complete its details, photos and hours, and ask for reviews. Google says local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence, and relevance and prominence are within your control.

What is the difference between a real estate office and an agency?

An office usually works one district or city on resale and rentals, relying on walk-ins and local search. An agency handles developers' projects across several areas and relies on campaigns. In Egypt, both must be registered in the real-estate brokers register.

Do I need a website if I already have a street office?

Yes. A buyer who saw your sign or found you on Google wants to see units before calling or visiting. A website shows them in your name and captures inquiries instead of losing them in scattered messages.

Should I make a separate page for every district I cover?

Only if you have real units and specific information for that district. Identical pages with only the district name changed do not help buyers; it is better to put the district name in the title of every unit and listing.

What goes on a real estate business card?

Your name and title, the office name and logo, one phone and WhatsApp number, a QR code that opens your website or units page, and the address if clients will visit.
